We went to the Civil Affairs Bureau office again today to do the paperwork process and make Natalee's adoption final. It was definitely a little more comfortable sitting across the desk from a lady that works for the CAB office answering a few easy questions than when we stood in front of a judge in Kazakhstan for about an hour adopting Maks! We then had to meet with someone from the Notary Office to do a little more paperwork. That went really smooth as well, except when I told him the wrong date for our anniversary and Tonya had to correct me. I don't think it affected the adoption at all, but the guy did comment that in China it is not a very good idea to forget your anniversary date - especially in front of your wife. Everything is going great with Natalee so far. She slept from about 7:30 last night until about 5:30 this morning, we'll see if that holds up. She also took about a 2.5 hour nap today and is eating pretty well. Let's see - sleeps well and eats well - she is going to fit in just fine in our house. We got Natalee on the scales today and she weighes pretty close to 22 pounds. We ordered dinner last night and lunch today from Danny's Bagels which is a pizza/pasta/sandwich place run by a guy that used to live in the US and delivers to our hotel. Tonya was getting a little tired of Chinese food (I did not think that was possible) so some pizza and pasta tasted pretty good. I think tomorrow I'm going to grab some Lays potato chips from the local grocery store - I just can't decide if I want the BBQ Pork Rib flavor or the Steak flavor.
